This is a totally non-crafty post... but I wanted to share my joy with all my crafty friends! My Daughter, Alex, has returned from her 18 month mission for our Church in Chile! I was able to go to Chile and spend a week there seeing a sliver of what she experienced! Here are a few photos!
Seeing her for the first time in 18 months. At the Chile Santiago North Mission office.
She served in this beautiful area called Santa Maria. Look at those neat steps on the hill for farming.
The city of Santiago is really beautiful... and very clean. This is one of the oldest areas in Santiago... Santa Lucia Hill.
A view walking up the hill with some of the city in the background.
At the top of the hill... just some of the city and the Andes in the background.
We also visited Viña del Mar... even though it was really chilly... it was beautiful!!!
Up the coast a little to Reñaca... there were even surfers!
Remember... this is wintertime in Chile still! LOL!
One day we went to many of the Museums and historical landmarks in Santiago...
We even found her a prince charming... statue! LOL!
Alex snapped a few of me. I thought this was a good one to show how she instructed me to carry my purse because of potential snatchings. The teacher becomes the student!
At La Moneda.... the Presidential palace in Santiago. It was really beautiful.
And finally... the arrival in Seattle with the rest of the family (minus my other daughter who is also on a mission). It was so sweet!
We are so please with her willingness to give of herself for a short time... and look forward to what the future has in store for her!
Thanks for poppying by, friends!
