I'm feeling just RIGHT so far! The injection went really well. I instantly felt it go down my hip and leg where the pain path was. It was a bit freaky. Apparently it's a good sign that he injected exactly where he needed to. The injection included Lidocaine, Marcaine and a Steroid. I just got up and walked away when I was finished. (I was expecting something totally different.) The few hours following the injection were amazing. To be pretty much pain free in my back without anything that made me wonky was just amazing! When that local anesthetic finally wore off... the pain was back. He said it takes a while for the Steroid to fully kick in. I am FULL of hope though. I admittedly sat and just enjoyed stamping when I got home... stamping with a clear head and no pain for a few hours was a miracle... or at least felt like one! Now if I can just get the laundry to just stop screaming at me to do it, it would be a double miracle kind of week! LOL!
OK... on to a card I created just for fun!
I am loving the opportunity to play with new stamps from different companies... These lovely images came from JustRite! I used Botanical Btterflies and Shabby Music Background Stamp.
I love the details on these butterflies... you know how much I love Butterflies! I was pretty impressed with the fine details that the clear stamps pick up too.
I thought the sentiment that was included in the set was pretty neat too.
I'm having so much fun just playing... it's pretty inspiring for my mojo too! It's also great to be posting again. I've got some great sets that were sent to me for publication assignments that I pulled out. I'm excited to ink those up again too! :)
I hope you all are doing well. I am so grateful for your warm wishes that have been so generously sent. Thanks to those who shared their own experiences with me. It was very comforting! I feel so blessed to have you guys here!
I'm off to create. (after I fully wake up... and maybe get the laundry monster under control) I'll try to post something else by the end of the week. Any guesses as to who's stamps are on the next card?
Thanks for poppying by, Friends!
So glad that you are starting to feel better, Leese--beautiful card!

I didn't comment the other day whe you announced that you were stepping down from PTI and your accent, etc. I didn't know what to day. So I'll just give you a computer ((((hug)))).

It is no nice to be out of pain! I had injections in my shoulder when I had a "frozen shoulder" so I understand what you have been going through. I do know that Heavenly Father gives us strength to endure and that this trial will give you experience, more compassion, and more faith. I love the card and it is so good to see your cards again. Keep fighting!

Lisa -
I hope that injection works faster than expected. When you are in pain, its hard to concentrate on anything. Sending prayers that you start to feel better real soon.

Lisa, that is so wonderful that you had immediate relief and I hope the steroids kick in soon to give you long lasting relief! Gorgeous card!! I'm always in love with anything with butterflies. ;)

Lisa, I am glad that it was an OK experience for you. What your doctor told you about the time for the steriods to fully "kick in" is exactly what my doctor told me. I also know that nothing is the same for everyone, so don't get discouraged. I will send up prayers for patience and strength.
P.S. I hope the laundry is not running after you, begging to be clean. That is so embarrassing...

So glad the injection worked! Hopefully it will last a couple of months for you. Enjoy the fun of "playing" with no deadlines and finding new products. Love the card. So much so that I think I will go and try it for myself! Have a great and pain-free day! Ciao db:)

Glad to hear so far so good. It's great you are feeling better.
Lovely card with nice shad of dark blue. I was purging my card magazines a couple weeks ago and decided to clip just the designs I liked (just no place left for all these older magazines). In the Stamp It Spring 2007 issue I saw this fish card with pretty green and blue. I have the fish stamp and decided I would like to CASE that card. It was your card, Lisa, called "Best Fishes." I don't know if you remember it but very cute card.

The injections work for some people and others not so much. It may work for a long time or a short time. Just don't be super disappointed if it happens. You can have up to 3 epidurals in a year. And, maybe physical therapy will help you. I know what you mean about the wonky feeling from the meds. Hang in there and I hope the pain stays away a long time for you.

Hi, Lisa! Had my injections today...4 large ones in the lowest part as far it goes! Didn't hurt nearly as badly this time...took care of the lower pain, but I still have excruciating pain mid-back with muscles spasms. I may have to go back again. Also have them between my shoulders....wish they could just do the whole darn thing and get it over with. I speak with the doctor then. My left leg was numb all the way into my whole foot! It didn't want to cooperate when I wanted to walk...teehee...eerie feeling to say the least. But tonight it's feeling much better. So glad to hear you are doing better...just remember not to over-do things like I have a tendency to do...the men in my family aren't very cooperative at all. :( Love your cards - they are awesome, gf!!
Hugz2u!
