So, do you remember a few weeks ago when I was working on the Marvy Uchida Billboard? I just realized that I hadn't remembered to share with you the card that I created for them. I did a little double duty while creating this... I created a coordinating tin using the same elements for the Papertrey release. My assignment was to create something using the following:
- Just glitter (dots on the snowflake images)
- Le Pen (faux stitches)
- Puffy Velvet Markers (Faux Snow)
- Craft Punches (Circle and scalloped circle)
- Marvy Pigment Markers (Brown Branch)
I must give HUGE credit to Nichole Heady... the branch was 100% inspired by her Take a Bough set she created. I thought I would test out if I could wing it with a pen to draw it... and it work pretty well. Now... I must admit I would rather stamp a branch any day... WAY less stress to me! The torn edge of the paper (Prism) really is a fantastic stage for faux snow... with the Puffy Velvet markers putting on the grand finale! it doesn't take ANY presicion... just color over the torn edge with the marker...then heat. I also dabbed the finished snow in loose glitter to give it a little gleam! I did want to point something out to you that might help as you are creating your own winter scene. Think about how snow falls and really lands on a tree. I have to admit that seeing snow on a branch is one of my favorite things... Delicate and bold together... such fantastic, Ironic contrast! Plus... its fun to knock off the snow when your DH is walking under it! Bwahahaha! ;) Anyhow, I hope I get to see what the final Billboard looks like. I will be watching the Parade, just like every year, so maybe I will! :)
