Friendship Bloomed

"We're painting the roses red!" or something like that. I thought about this all day so I had to create a Sweet Roses and Roses and Leaves Die-namics card and with an Alice in Wonderland feel to it!

This card features the Large Open and Side view roses from Sweet Roses... and all the leaf images. Distressed Diamonds was used for the background.

I stamped the base of the roses with Wild Cherry Ink then the line image is stamped with Electric Red. The leaves are stamped with Factory Green Ink with the line image stamped in Jellybean Green.

I love the thought behind this sentiment... True friendship does bloom!

The inside of the card shoes the smaller open rose and leaves.

Welcome to day four of  My Favorite Things Teaser Time! It's busy, busy time here in the Johnson home... we are knee deep in Christmas prep. I hope you are all doing well too! I have another quick and simple card to share for today's post.

I used the Good Luck sentiment from On The Line. I have several upcoming uses for this sentiment. It lends itself to many styles too.

The inside of the card shows off the Bracket Edge Duo Die-namics.

I also used Distressed Diamonds to decorate the inside. Here are my new products that I used for this card.

Primitive Pumpkins & Distressed Diamonds Finale

Well, the time has come that you can start shopping for this month's My Favorite Things products.  We are all sharing something using new products... I have some fun things for you!

This card was created for someone very special. She has done so much for so many and it was neat to think of her while I was creating it. I used the new Flower Medley Die-namics and Die-namics Royal Leaves for the focal point. 

*sigh* for some reason this just makes me happy. I inked the edges with white ink. The Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX die cut was stamped with Distressed Diamonds. 

 Anything pink on the card was also stamped with diamonds. 

I love this new Die-namics High Rise Alphabet. I might just have to lock it away... I want to use the dies on everything!

The inside has a smaller Jumbo Fishtail with diamonds and an oval that has been stamped and die cut.  I almost put a flower inside too but I don't like the insides to be bulky... and it didn't coordinate well without the crystal in the center. 

Next is a little felt treat bag that I created...

I had a blast creating this little treat holder and am SO excited to have it in my stash of decorations. Yep... I made this for my girls! I plan on having little treats hanging on the door for a few days before Halloween to "get them in the mood". (Like they need it! LOL!)

I, once again, used that awesome new alphabet and Jumbo Fishtail STAX. I stitched the front one, added the ribbon handle then glue it together. It took me a little while to figure out "my" perfect length. I think it will be personal for each person who makes it though.

I used the Primitive Pumpkins Trio Die-namics for the pumpkins. I stitched everything with Honeydew Bakers twine.

Here it is hanging on my front door.

Whatcha think? Do you think they will mind coming home to some treats? :)

Lastly is a card that look a while to make just because I was translating it from an inspiration photo in my pinterest and didn't want to duplicate the project but show where the inspiration led me.

Sometimes a photo doesn't do a project justice. I might try to shoot another one in morning light tomorrow. This card is so vibrant yet soft in person. Here are some detail photos... since it's hard to get close with a business size card. I stamped the letter with Distressed Diamonds with this card too.

The happy is from the new Spider Web sentiments stamp set. (Gotta be honest... I cut the sentiment... *gasp*)

I wanted to show the star cluster too. You may have also noticed the decorative scoring I put onto the card front.

Die-namics Feature and Pre-Release Pep Rally

Die-namics dies... I just love them!

That's what I'm sharing a little bit about today! I'll be using my new sets too... 

Primitive Pumpkins and Distressed Diamonds. I used both on the card above. Here are some detail photos. 

The Oval STAX is cut out from the card base to create a window. I then lined the bottom of the oval with the new Picket Fence die. It reaches across the entire back of the front of the card. Next I stamped the pumpkins from Primitive Pumpkins onto the die cuts.

The sentiment is stamped and I created a little tag to hang around the card. The entire card front has been stamped with Distressed Diamonds too.

Here is the inside. The tree has no leaves... well, it is a fall card, right! :) The scalloped border is also stamped with Distressed Diamonds.

This next card has a fun little twist to it. Yes... I did use Primitive Pumpkins for this set!

Each die cut has been stamped with the line pumpkin image... then spaced to create flower petals.

The inside flower centers are from these great new dies...

Simple on the front... means simple on the inside too!

Primitive Pumpkins and Distressed Diamonds day 6

Today is such a pretty day... it almost seems strange to be thinking of fall and Halloween... they are just around the corner and coming fast though. I have one fun card to share with you today...

 This Masked Pumpkin patch card was created using the masking technique. It's great for creating layers but not bulk!

I stamped the front two pupmkins first then masked them. Next I stamped the back pumpkin. The little vines in the set make it easy to fill up space and add additional motion to the card. 

The bottom is stamped with the small diamond strip from Distressed Diamonds. A glitter strip with soft gold glitter is added for a little elegance.

 The little stem image is added to the sentiment for a little extra fun!

Primitive Pumpkins and Distressed Diamonds day 5

 Welcome to day 5 of My Favorite Things’ Teaser Time. There are a lot of things going on behind the scenes and the excitement is building. 

I just have some quick little projects to share today... 

I'm always looking for quick wrappings and such for holiday treats... we often drop goodies on someone's front porch. It will be nice to have this ready to go!

Just one little pumpkin adorns this bag. The sentiment is allowed to take center stage. The Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX die cut is stamped using Distressed Diamonds. 

Another quick treat project using that same sentiment. Candy corn tags too. ;)

I hand painted the clothespins then added a threaded button. The tags were also quick and simple! After the treat is gobbled down the recipient will have a cute little clothespin leftover. Gotta love those MFT buttons!

Lollipop Treat & Primitive Pumpkins

We are now in the middle of My Favorite Things’ Teaser Time... are you enjoying all of the projects? I've been floored by all the projects that the team has created. 

Today I'm sharing some fun treat projects using Lollipop Treat... with a little of my Primitive Pumpkins stamp set!

One of my favorite things about being a stamp illustrator is finding sets that I've not illustrated that go well with ones I have. Lollipop treats is just that type of set. Super versatile... I love it! Here is a little lollipop trio that I created.

I love that I can go modern or vintage... really any style with these sets.

The flag has a sentiment from Primitive Pumpkins. A fun way to add a sense of motion to a project is to form thing like the flag like it's waving in the wind.

Which is your favorite Pumpkin? One minute I think it's this wonky dot one...

the next it's the lined pumpkin.

I did something fun with this treat wrap...

I double cut the pumpkin die to create a hinged style tag on the front from it.

This is ready to have Ella address for a special class member. With the little text pumpkin.

I love all of the circle and pattern images in this set... there are a ton of possibilities  with it! Here is the set in full.

Primitive Pumpkins, Distressed Diamonds & About Grandparents

 Welcome to day three of Teaser Time for  My Favorite Things! It's been a great past few days... and I'm excited to share the cards I created for today! 

In addition to Distressed Diamonds and Primitive Pumpkins, I get to share a little using the Clearly Sentimental: About Grandparents.

Masculine cards can be a little difficult. I tend to keep them simple and clean. I used Distressed Diamonds to create a color diamond pattern. This reminds me of a warm, cozy sweater that my Grandpa might have worn. I love being able to create these patterns of color with this set.
I used the new High Rise Alphabet Lowercase for the "hi" and About Grandparents for the sentiment. It's a pretty font huh!

A simple inside that reflects the front.

Next is a totally different style of card... elegant and full of details.

I used Distressed Diamonds to stamp the background on the card base. The little stars are from Primitive Pumpkins.

I thought it would be neat to create elegant cream pumpkins. I inked the stems of the pumpkin images and stamped those... then added the flourishes. I added depth with the frame that had the center die cut out. The little crystal flourishes are by Zva Creative.

 The design elements are pulled into the inside too. I used a larger oval die cut to create a place to write something personal.

I used the new Harlequin die on this card too.

This is a great accent and goes really well with these new sets!

Primitive Pumpkins day two

Here we are on day two of My Favorite Things Teaser Time... and I get to share something using my Primitive Pumpkins set today.

Here are some Primitive Pumpkins gum wrappers.

My girls LOVE the Extra Dessert Delights gum, especially the Root Beer Float kind. I thought it would be fun to wrap some for them as a treat for that day. I made each one just a little different too.

Pretty simple and straightforward.... but fun! I dare say that they will be ecstatic when they open their lunches!

Introducing: Primitive Pumpkins and Distressed Diamonds!

Summer is drawing to a close and school starts in just about a few days. There are so many exciting things going on right now! It's also MFT Teaser Time...and for a debut of some on my new stamps. This month I get to offer you TWO new, fun sets! 

Here are some details...

Primitive Pumpkins ($23.95) - A rustic, primitive style Halloween/Pumpkin stamp set and Die-namics combo. This set features three unique pumpkins and several accent images, all with their own primitive, folksy flair! Useful sentiments and a fun, funky star garland image are also part of this versatile set. Check out the handy graphics to see all of the images and dies in this combo!

Distressed Diamonds ($15.95) - A simple, elegant diamond background set that features three strips of diamonds with a touch of distressing. There is a large and small group strip and a single strip of medium diamonds. This set is a must have set because of the extreme versatility!

On to the stamping!

Here is the first card I created with this set. Folksy and classic primitive Halloween!

The pumpkins from Primitive Pumpkins are stamped in three different colors while the accent stars float around. Distressed Diamonds is used to create the background paper. 

I had fun choosing a cute sentiment for this set.

Each pumpkin and star is unique in its own way. The wonky dot one might just be my favorite though. The bottom portion of the top layers is actually a die cut of the scalloped border die that has been stamped and adhered under the real top layer. The seam is hidden with the twine.

The inside has some of the design elements that follow over from the front.

The Halloween Garland image is fun because it was created to give a sense of motion. I chose to use a die cut of the pumpkin for the inside to add some contrast.

Next is a softer card that could be used for a fall card too.

I used the same small diamond strip from Distressed Diamonds to decorate the Peek-A-Boo Trio Die-namics.  

Each pumpkin is inked with a green and orange before stamping. The little vine images are a fun touch to add some movement too.

The inside reflects the exterior design. I included a single image in Primitive Pumpkins that has all three pumpkins in a trio. This is a fun little image for SO many things. Perfect for treat bag too!

Lastly, a pastel Halloween Birthday card!

You might be wondering who would want one of these... Well… my Hannah has a fall birthday and LOVES Halloween! She had so many Halloween Birthday parties growing up. I will never think of that holiday and not think of her! 

The sentiment is stamped and embossed on a new Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX die cut. I threaded some twine into the top for a decorative element.

The background paper is stamped with the largest of the Distressed Diamonds strips. 

I love the leafy flourish die because of the elegance and flow it lends to my projects.

There is a new picket fence die that I used here too. I stamped it with the wood grain image from the By the Numbers stamp set and embossed it.  We have a little white picket fence that inspired me to do that.
