Welcome back friends!!!
Yes... it's time for MFT's February Release Countdown. And I'm hoping that this release is a foreshadowing of an immediate spring... because it's COLD here!
Forget Me Not - A lovely flower themed stamp set that features the beautiful Forget-me-not flower. I've paired this with some sweet sentiments and comforting quotes. You will love the feeling that is portrayed by your projects using Forget Me Not!
Die-namics Forget Me Not - Coordinating dies for the Forget Me Not stamp set. Perfect for adding dimension to your projects. Use the flower elements to create the typical Forget-me-not flower cluster.
Spring Flowers Stencil - Add a little spring flair with this flower pattern stencil!
Now... onto the cards!
This first card had a very important job... I created it as a pick me up for a friend of mine whose husband was in ICU for a while. It was meant to raise her spirits... but when it arrived it ended up being a condolence card. The message behind it isn't the same... God loves her and I'm here for her.
I created a full Forget-me-not cluster for this card. This flower comes in many varieties so it's nice to choose how the cluster appears.
The background of this card was created using the new Spring Flowers Stencil, the Herringbone image from Textile Backgrounds, and the quote strip from Forget Me Not.
I added a little glitter to the centers of each flower too... right over the little stamped center.
A little detailed shot of the sentiment...
And the inside with a sentiment from Pretty Poppies.
Next, something on the sweet side of things.
This card is bright and cheery. It's been created with real friendship in mind. I can't wait to give this one away!
It really is a sweet sentiment.
I chose to Die cut the Die-namics Forget Me Not images in Sour Apple and Sno Cone cardstock. It's a totally different look than if it were on white.
A quick shot of the inside.
Next is a card using my new Spring Flowers Stencil.
I ran the stencil through my Vagabond with this Sweet Tooth cardstock. It left a wonderful impression. Then I did a little variegated sponging. SO FUN!
A little flag for the inside to carry the design through.
Isn't that fun up-close? No special plates needed. I'm really going to have fun using this new Spring Flowers Stencil!
