Welcome back friends! I'm so glad you popped by today! I wanted to share something special with you. Every year I create pins or other decorative items for my daughters and girlfriends. This year will be no exception!
For the packaging... I created a large, matchbook style holder for the pin. Notice the little staple that keeps it together?
The large matchbook is stamped with two of the images from Darling Dots. The Chevron Border Die-namics die cut is a fun addition to the flap too.
The Scalloped Stocking from Stitched Stockings was stamped onto the coordinating Die-namics Die in Wild Cherry ink. I then stamped it in Jelly Bean Green, trimmed the toe and cuff then attached that over the top. The little button on the stocking adds a little extra dimension.
When I was working on Stitched Stockings, I thought about a sentiment that could be built... with some fun color. I also wanted to be versatile, so I designed it so that the PEACE, LOVE and JOY sentiments could work alone or in conjunction with the Christmas Filled sentiment.
Here is the pin I created with the new Poinsettia Die-namics. I plan on making several more of these for friends.I used a large Crystal from Zva that I used a yellow Copic on to add some additional depth to the pin.
Here is the back side of the pin...
A little hot glue goes a long way when creating a pin. Also, I always make sure when making pins that the backs look clean.
