Hello friends! I hope you are all having a wonderful Fall! We've been SO blessed here in the Northwest! The sun has been shining every day and it feels like Summer came late to the party and doesn't want to go home! It's been amazing! Well... work wise, it's Teaser Time again for My Favorite Things and I have several things that I designed this month for you!
This introductory post is a little long... so beaar with me as I share all of the details. :)
Howdy ($17.95) - A fun western themed stamp set that features a pair of boots, horse silhouette, rope, wood grain plank, sheriff star, horse show, flower flourish, barbed wire and texture stars. The sentiments are western style with fun, interactive elements. You don't have to be a cowgirl or cowboy to have a blast using this set!
Howdy coordinates with the Howdy Frame Die-namics...Howdy Frame Die-namics ($8.95) - These coordinate with several images and sentiment in Howdy! These frames, when used with Howdy resemble old town western themed signs. They also work well with so many other sets that there's too many to name. There are just SO many possibilities with this great basic Die-namics set!
Here are some examples of the set and dies used together...
I have also designed a coordinating backround set...
Western Backgrounds ($15.95) - This versatile background set will help you build wonderful wood style backgrounds, Denim strips and even a pony print! While it coordinates with Howdy, it's certainly not exclusive to it. This next week you will see the MFT DT, including myself, share sever project using this set that show off its versatility!
Whew... did you catch all that? :) On to some projects!
First of is a more masculine, clean card.
I used the two boots, rope, star and the wood plank image here. The Much obliged sentiment fits perfectly on the frame.
I also used the new Western Star Border Duo Die-namics with the bottom layer that has been stamped with the wood plank image too. The denim strip adds some nice balance.
The inside is decorated with a star border section, the rope and the yee-haw sentiment.
Next is a card that shows off the horse head silhouette and a few of the sentiments too.
I used the pony/cow print image from Western Backgrounds to create the patterned paper.
I heat embossed white EP for the howdy sentiment. I stamped the wood panel image from Western Backgrounds to add some subtle color behind the neighbor sentiment.
It's a huge contrast from my first card, isn't it. And, this card is totally gender neutral. :)
I decorated the inside with a strip of the same paper I created for the front of the card... but left off any sentiment for a little extra writing room.
Next is a feminine card created with Howdy and Western Backgrounds.
I wanted this card to have an elegant feel. I love how the horse fits so well with the Die-namics frame. I used a TI Copic Marker to add some shadows.
There is a little flower in the set that is the exact match to the flower in the flower flourish image, making it easy to do some fun color layering. I used my wood side background stamp to create the background paper, the cow/pony print for the larger of the new Fishtail Flags Layers STAX and the denim for the tiny one.
I pulled that cow/pony print into the inside along with the flower flourish and the birthday sentiment.
Well, that wraps up my projects and post for today. I hope you enjoyed today's peek. Make sure that you stop over to the MFT blog ... they are featuring my sets today... and the DT has done an AMAZING job!
