One of my favorite things about the Papertrey Ink Senior Design Team challenge is that I get a jump start on some upcoming events or holidays. Another favorite thing is seeing what my teammates create... they always inspire me!
Spooky Sweets II features some of the funnest, classic and elegant Halloween images that Papertrey has. I was exited to discover that a few of the newer dies worked so well with this set... especially with the Tag Sale #4 die!
Here's a little treat bag that I created using that tag and the beautiful frame image from Spooky Sweets II.
The outline of the image is right over the impressed area on the tag... so it isn't crisp. I like the vintage feel it lends to the overall appearance. I did add some glitter in the impressed area to embellish it a tad.
I try to step out of the box with color for holidays. Plum Pudding, Smokey Shadow and Royal Velvet worked for this bag. I know purple tones aren't too out of the box for Halloween... but I usually throw in orange or green.
The top of the bag was trimmed off using the Edgers # 1 die. Just something different than just rolling it closed. I have someone in mind already for this little gift to go to. When the time comes that is.
My girls were so cute when they saw this card. They giggled and smiled over it. I love that about paper crafting... when I can see the smiles on my daughters faces from loving something I made. No achievement in paper crafting could mean more to me.
Ok... so I bet that you want to see what the other Sr. DT members have created.... here are their blog links!
On a personal note.... the last few weeks have been a whirlwind. I flew Alex out to Provo for school... and it was so hard to get on that plane, alone, to fly home. Thank you to all who left comments on the gratitude journal post. Those meant a lot!!! Funny...A few days after I came home, the rest of us went camping for a few days at Mt. Rainier. While it was AMAZING to be there and to see all the mountain in it's glory as well as the wildflowers in full bloom... being out of contact from her with no cell reception or internet was a bit hard for me. I didn't think the timing through... or realize how worried I would be. Silly me! Guess what though... she was great, totally fine... maybe even better because of the independence... and I lived. LOL! I'm sure all you who have "been through it" are giggling at me... remembering your own experience. For those who have this to come... there isn't too much you can do to prepare yourselves in my opinion... goodness knows, I tried!
Well... have a great rest of the day! Thanks for poppying by friends!
