As summer comes to an end, and we prepare for school to start next week, I've been doing a little closet cleaning. Sometimes I find forgotten treasures when I do that. This month's Papertrey Ink Senior Design Team Challenge is about rediscovering a forgotten treasure. We are revisiting one of my own stamp set designs, Flower Garden! This set is actually the first one of mine that Papertrey released too! To see my countdown projects and use tutorials using this set click HERE! I have several cards to share with you today... some new and a couiple older and previously published.
Here is a new card. This flower is my favorite from the set.
I simply stamped it in Fresh Snow ink to fill the card front. I also used the friend sentiment from the set combined with the newer sentiment from Daily Designs Sentiments.
I like how the curves in the Mat Stack #2 die works so well with Flower Garden.
One of my favorite things to do with Flower Garden is to Paper Piece with the linear images. I love being able to layer and even use markers in combination with the patterned paper that I use. I also love the possibilities with the solid and line images together! It's very easy to go from cute to elegant with Flower Garden!
This card shows paper piecing as well as some of the images from the $5 add on set, Flower Garden Sentiments.
It's fun to combine the newer patterned papers with this set too.
The idea behind this sentiment is so great for a friend that may seem like a total opposite that you but always seem to united in so many things! Those are some of my favorite friends!
This little bee is darling, isn't it!
I used a yellow copic Marker to color the centers a little. these are really lovely when totally colored with Copics too!
These last few cards have been published. :)
These two cards appeared in one of the Paper Crafts Card Creations special issues.
This one uses the Flower Garden sentiment set for the flower center.
Using the three petal flower, spiral stem and small leaf image from Flower garden.
These next two appeared in CardMaker magazine. HERE is another free project that they are showcasing in there newsletter this month using Flower Garden too!
This pink one used the line images from two of the flowers, stamped in a circle while overlapping, to create totally different flowers!
As you can see, these sets are very versatile!
