Welcome back and THANK YOU!!! Wow! I am so EXCITED about your thoughts and what you've share about On My Couch & On My Couch Additions!!! Thank for taking to time to comment. :) If you are just joining us, my new soon to be released stamp sets will be available through Papertrey Ink on July 15th!
Here we go for day two!
I was sitting by the water slide sketching while the girls were splashing around over the 4th and this card popped into my head. It was neat to get home and create it...
Firstly, I created a scene using the Table, Branch Vase, Circle Couch, Rug and Modern Picture. (3x3 inches) then I cute it into 4 1 1/2 inch squares. I framed it onto Kraft cardstock, then offset one. I took a pencil and marked the line where I would be stamping my sentiment.
after stamping I erased the pencil line and permanently adhered the squares... offsetting the one.
Isn't this a fun and unique layout! I love how the play on words turned out... Heehee! I decided to use the circular couch without the outline because the blue is nice and dark. Notice how the buttons are similarly askew.
Did I mention that there are identical patterns for the chairs that I created for the couches? Gotta have some coordination! I also wanted a solid...
Here is the solid and linear couch and the polka dot and linear chair. Guess what I used for coloring them? FLOCK! Yes... I used the pattern and solid image with Heat and Stick powder and applied flock. It's so soft and fuzzy in person and looks just like a mini upholstered couch and chair!
This was a quick card and I just know it will bring a smile to someone special! (Btw... I used a fun BG image from Dawn's newest set on this card)
Ok... I have to say that I'm sharing my two favorite cards with On My Couch & On My Couch Additions tomorrow! I hope you will come back and see.... I was just bouncin' when I finished them up!!!
Thanks again for all your comments... Your feed back makes a huge difference! Check out the other post I have for today here. You can follow from there over to the other PTI blogs for their projects!
Thanks for poppy-ing by!
