Welcome back... and to day 2 of the sneak peek countdown to the release of Heavenly Medley! I can't tell you how wonderful it is to hear from you, here and via emails, about your excitement about this set! THANK YOU for taking the time to share your thoughts and excitement with me and your friends! Onto day 2 projects...
The sentiment, "Peace... be still.", is the highlight in this next card. I feel so much comfort and calmness when I hear those words. The sentiment comes from Mark 4:36-41 (we use the King James version of the Holy Bible) that tell of The Savior, Jesus Christ, calming the raging seas. Master, The Tempest is Raging (click to hear) is a Hymn that is found in several hymnbooks and refers to this scripture and it's application to us personally. During times of stress, worry and adversity I hear this phrase in the song and instantly feel calmer. I thought it would be a great sentiment for giving encouragement cards. Imagine being stressed and opening an envelope with this card in it...
Also included in the set is a leaf flourish corner. It started out originally as just branches and a sweet friend suggested making it more of a corner type image. Isn't she brilliant! (Thanks Melis!) I'm really pleased with how it turned out and how beautifully it translates when stamped! I created this little frame by stamping the image then trimming it. the ribbon is pinched a little behind it to give the illusion of being looped through it... but it's just sitting under it.
Just wait until you see the Design team samples with the Leaf Flourish corner!!! *faint*
I thought it would be fun to make one more thing for today's post...
Together Forever (click to hear) is a fantastic Hymn that talks about how "we can be together forever through Heavenly Father's plan". This means so much to me... that our family's relationship reaches into eternity.
I created this frame with our engagement photo (it still makes me smile. Don't we look WAY outdated! LOL!) using the sentiment and the Leaf Flourish frame from Heavenly Medley. I love the look of it embossed... it went from earthy to elegant in just a snap! The sentiment isn't just for marriage/wedding occasions... it's can be used for many different family occasions!
This would also be a great frame for a new baby, family portrait etc.
What other projects do you think you would make with these three images I've shown today from Heavenly Medley? I can't wait to hear your thoughts!
