I hope everyone had a fantastic Mother's day! Mine was lovely... flowers, candy, hugs and kisses! What more could a woman want!
Thanks for all your lovely comments on my last post! (((hugs))) I thought I would share a few non-patriotic projects using Let Freedom Ring today! (this set goes on sale May 15th through Papertrey Ink) You can also see this post for some background use of the set. :)
If you are a regular reader then you know I have 4 daughters.... yes, we have a girly house! Pink is fairly popular for my girls as far as gifts and giving...so I thought I would start with that!
You will notice a few new images with this project... the happy sentiment, birthday sentiment, and the stripe star circle. That circle image is fun because you can turn it to make the stripes be diagonal or horizontal! (take note that the next card uses it in the opposite diagonal!) The star is punched out using the Clever Lever Jumbo Star punch (small green) from Marvy!
Hand stamped Nuggets have been around for a very long time now and they newer grow old to me... or people that I give them to. I thought it would be fun to make a treat bag with lots of nuggets.
I stamped a whole sheet of labels with the stripe image and the star cluster image overlapping each other in a diagonal pattern.
Isn't that sparkly button COOL!!! That's a Papertrey Sweet Blush button... I LOVE IT!!!
Now a manly card...
You see the addition of the Star Cluster Circle and the rim of another image I will be showing tomorrow. :)
One fun thing with this particular stripe image is creating plaid! Let me just say ... I've been playing with plaid for days now!
I also added some stripes on the card base corners to help the eye draw closer to the focal images.
I wanted to make sure to note that I used two different circle punches to punch out these two projects. The first uses Marvy's Circle Punch (yellow) and this last card uses SU's 1 5/8th inch circle punch layered with the Marvy circle. I wanted to show how versitile the circle size is. I don't have any nestibilities but I'm taking a guess that they have sizes that will work too!
So you can see from today's post... Let Freedom Ring is pretty versatile! You will see even more of that tomorrow too! I can't wait to share!
What can YOU see making with this set so far???
