Welcome back... and THANK YOU so much for all your well wishes and support! I'm SO elated to hear how excited YOU are about my newest, soon to be released stamp set, Life! I just knew you would love it as much as I do! It's incredibly easy to stamp with and I can tell how apparent that is to you already. :) Papertrey ink will be hopping on the 15th with all of the goodies they are offering this month!
Today I wanted to share a masculine card I created for my husband Chris. I have to say... Chris and I are as opposite as you can get... but the love of the outdoors is one thing that we share 100%. My favorite thing to do with Chris is to hike or just plain be outside with him. We are both pretty simple people. I think it's easy to forget that we need to share appreciation for the great men in our lives...here is a card I made for him... just because!
Here is a little tidbit about how I designed the set... the Artwork images all were designed in a way that one or more of the sentiment combinations fit horizontally over them... like shown in this card!
The little details can be difficult on a masculine card... I find that neutral and earthy elements lend themselves to these types of cards. I love how the stitching adds texture and acts as a design element!
Ok... on to a feminine card... can't leave my girls out! Hannah, my 14 yr old, went nuts over this card... "Mom! It's so simple but BAM!". I just smiled from ear to ear... I love when they love something... they are sort of used to it all so it's not very common.
I used what I am calling the multi-sprig image and stamped it in Spring rain first... then Fresh Snow after that... changing the height and angle a little each time. While the Fresh Snow was still wet I sprinkled glitter over it and heat set. It's not as solid as a glue pen... but Perfect for a free flowing card like this!
Here is a close up...
It sparkles and shines in person... just draws you right to it!
So now you have seen the Sprig, Multi-Sprig, Oblong Leaves, Leaves from Life .... BUT... I have 2 more lovely images to share tomorrow.... ANY GUESSES? Just wait till you see how fun they are! I wanted to save them for tomorrow when Nichole introduces the set... I can't wait!
Don't forget to stop by Nichole's, Heather's, Lauren's and Melissa's blog for their creative treats!
Thanks again for leaving your comments.... it helps so much to know, as a stamp and concept designer, what you enjoy and like to see!!!
See you tomorrow... and thanks for Poppy-ing by!
