My love affair with buttons seems to have been going on for ages. :) I love them... I love the simple sweetness, elegance or any mood really that they can lent to projects. Our Papertrey Ink Senior DT challenge this month is ALL about buttons!!!
First of all.... there are several ways that I adhere my buttons but my favorite was is with a liquid adhesive. It does take a little longer to dry but It gives me confidence that the button is there to stay. This is especially important when working on Home Decor projects or gifts. Glue dots are an easy and quick adhesive... and yes, I do use them on occasion. However, Time seems to slacken the dot for me and buttons have fallen off.. The one plus to glue dots is that if you don't like the placement of your button you can use a heat tool to gently heat it and it will pull right off. The liquid adhesive I like is Zip Dry... I also like Fabri-tac if there is any ribbon involved.
Here is a new project that shows my favorite button configuration... a cluster triangle!
Isn't it fun how the buttons all look so different but work so well together. One button is left raw... simply because it was luscious all on it's own! I had so fun making this card... I loved using Life and Journaling Lines together... it reminds me of a botanical illustration book I spied at the library. :)
I hope you will take the time to check out the other Sr. DT members as well as Maggie's Blog to see what incredible button goodies that they've come up with!
Thanks for poppy-ing by my friends!
