We had such a great time this last weekend... It amazes me how just a few days away from it all eases stress and builds family relationships! I wanted to share a few photo highlights of the weekend...
My daughter, Hannah, took this photo while Chris and I were hanging out by the fire...cooking our tin foil dinners. I love this man!
There was this little grove of Birch trees that the road in our campground went through. I was captivated by the feeling when we walked in there. Ella was skipping toward me...I HAD to snap a photo of her unencumbered joy!
There is something incredibly special about a father teaching their daughter to fish. Chris' patience was long lasting while he showed Pepper a few casting tips.
I also took some time to play with a few of my camera settings. I always feel like I don't have time to learn... but this time I had plenty of it and it was fun to experiment. I set my Aperture to the lowest setting for this shot, making sure that I had the sun behind her giving me some back light. I love the sweetness that is portrayed here. Pepper forgot her coat and wore Dad's extra shirt...proudly I might add. She found a stick that became her magic plaything for the remainder of the day.
For this photo I played with using my polarized sunglasses as a lens. We were up on the Cle Elum River enjoying the sunshine and glory of the river...I'm in love with the warm and earthy outcome of this photo! It's just SO cool!
All three of the last photos are within feet of each other...yet seem so different in both appearance and emotion for me.
We took the road all the way to the top of the mountain and I just couldn't go without capturing the breathtaking meadow and lake with the mountains lacing the background. *sigh*
The Ensign Ranch has something that lures our children there every year... the giant Slip & Slide! On the last day we packed up and the girls had a blast whizzing down the slippery haven. Such fun!
I'm grateful that we were able to have some much needed time away, bonding, enjoying each other's company.
Now... back to stamping! :)
