Many of you know that I flew down to CHA on Feb 9 and my family joined me on the 13th for 7 days at Disneyland and California adventures. It had been 10 years since we had gone and we wanted to make sure that the younger ones go to go at lease once while they were young. You know... that enchanting young age of enthrallment! :) We probably wont be back for another ten years. 7 days hold a TON of memories so I will hit a few highlights of the trip and my girls in the thick of their adventure. (It's still a long post though, LOL!)
they let all the girls know that they were P.I.T (Princesses in training) Ella believed EVERY word and walked up to the throne after the show and pulled this pose out of her hat...all on her own. There was a huge giggle rolling around the area. The remainder of the trip she tried to ride at the foot of her jog stroller, like she was on a float, waving a total princess wave. We ARE SO in TROUBLE! She also got to meet her FAVORITE Princess, Ariel!
Pepper loved toon town... it was really cute how she came alive in Micky and Minnie's house. I sometimes forget that she is only 9. She is SO smart and working at a 11-12 year old level but she is still a little girl! Thank goodness!
it's funny... she isn't one for thrill rides...but she tried them all at least once. Some she liked others she said "I will only go on that again if I have to, if everyone else is going and I can't be alone!" needless to say, we didn't put her in that position. :) I was so proud of her for her willingness to try something I new was hard for her to do.
ALERT! total memory moment here. I have a photo of the girls at this same table when they were 3 and 5! I can't wait to see these side by side. they were so funny trying to remember when they were there before. now they are 13 1/2 and almost 15!
Hannah is my thrill rider... loves roller coasters and those drop rides. it's so fun to see her face when she get off one. Alex is my safe girl and dislikes thrill rides like nothing else. She was so proud of herself (as were we) for trying some. I have to admit that some of the photos that they take on the ride made us giggle. she even busted up on a few seeing the faces she made. Hannah is also a HUGE Eeyore fan...ever since she was a baby. She was ecstatic me meet him IRL. heehee!
Alex never wants her picture taken but couldn't pass up this opportunity....I mean WHEN will she be by a giant "A" ever again! I couldnt believe she asked me to snap this. HOW FUN!
Oh... I almost forgot. One day we went to Goofy's Kitchen for a character lunch that came in our Costco travel package. we completely topped of our tummies and were able to meet so many characters! We chose wisely to go to that particular one! Here we are before heading back. (Yes... I'm as tired as I look. by this day in the trip I needed a NAP!)
All in all it was a great trip. We had some odd mishaps but things turned for the best. Thanks for taking the time to share these memories with me. I'm sure I will be creating with some of these pictures soon!
