I have to admit...I have a love/ hate relationship with scrapbooking. I really do love it...I love how the final products look and what they stand for...but hate how hard it is for me to do sometimes...well, most of the time. It's not a natural process for me like a card is. I have to really plan it out instead of just starting to create...a total change of thinking for me.
The new Doodlebug Kitty set was a bit more easy for me than usual. It might be that I love the subject in the photo and don't often get to scrapbook him! Also, I find that when I focus on the stamps I can do a better job...probably since I'm a stamper to the core!
My sweet old man Rufus...he is so loving and It's a joy to be able to scrap him. He is a year older now... the big 12. Let me just say... this old man jumps up onto my bed every night, gives me a little head bonk (a cat's highest expression of love), and lays next to me deep in purr mode until I fall into dreamland. When anyones sick in bed...he's right there trying to comfort us... it's pretty amazing.
I again used WeR's White out Explorer line, Marvy punches and Clearsnap ink with this page. Sponging is a key element to me...it adds so much depth and helps push you toward the focal images. Hampton Art's Doodlebug images will be available next moth!
Oh... I forgot to tell you all... Marvy has their Paper Trimmer being featured on QVC on Monday sometime between 7-10 am EST. on Monday Feb 4th. Be sure to check it out. I created a boatload (20 I think) of samples for this presentations... and they are also utilizing some of my Papertrey Ink samples. You will see some new projects and get a chance to check out the features of this fun trimmer. Let me know if you catch the show!
