I have been really neglectful at sending cards and made a point to do that this week. here is a card that I created for a girlfriend of mine. I wanted to create something with a Fall feel so I brought out my Pewter Press paper by WeR.
I used Papertrey's sentiment, Marvy and SU punches and Clearsnap Ink. Hope she likes it...even though its late.

I used Adobe illustrator to create the text circles and frames...trimming them with my Marvy punches! Papertrey stamps are used to highlight certain areas in the book (like around us on the first page) Websters pages has some fantastic shabby paper that lent itself to the feel I wanted. He now has a little reminder of last years trip to keep in his desk drawer at work...maybe reminisce a little :)
It's been an interesting week... I am STILL in the thick of unpacking and organizing. the cold season hit our house too. Ella broke her bitty nose (just a little while playing with Pepper) We have Piano lessons, pre-school and church activities going... Whew...so glad we are getting that schedule schtuff all figured out...and I actually worked on the Paper Crafts call for the first time in many months. I felt like my creative brain needed a jump start. I piled out some of my favorite products and started...made a few things then something hit me out of the blue that I could do for the call...a section that I had told myself I wasn't going to create anything for. Well... guess what... I made a cool Bracelet ensemble and low and behold they made it in! I had really prayed for inspiration and only worked the day of the call on a few things...prayers were answered for sure. I spent all day Friday thanking Heavenly Father for that blessing. It was something I think I really needed as I have had to put aside so much of that part of me these past few months for my family for the move. It gives me that jump start feeling... Creative Caffeine so to speak! LOL!
Well...the neighbors brought over apples from their tree and I made apple crisp, Off to the store to snag some yummy ice cream to drape over that warm crisp when it takes it's first breath out of the oven! Yummy! What's YOUR favorite fall treat?
I totally forgot to share this card that I made for Marvy for CHA. it's a bitty note card using Papertrey Ink images. I love how fast and easy it is to just punch out and layer this particular set. (Text Box) I also love the great paper that I get from Prism. this particular green is from their sorbet pack...so pretty!
I also wanted to share something cool with you.
we were out last week...we had decided that we wanted to watch the sunset off the north west tip of the island (5 min from our house) while we were there we saw some movement in the water and wouldn't ya know it... Pilot Whales, small ones, were gliding through the water. it was SO cool to watch. can you see the tip of their fins?
Sigh...pretty cool beans huh!
Papertrey has once again taken my breath away! Nichole continues to think outside of the box and with variety in mind has created 4 fantastic stamp set for the holidays.
Here are some of my contributions to the Ink Pad Gallery. I once again am amazed by the other ladies and am humbled by their abilities to create such amazing samples.
The Santa candies were inspired by those chocolate Santa's that are a little spendy. I really should have added the wreath or presents in their hands...but i forgot. It was fun using patterned paper from Websters Pages for my projects this time.
This tin was particularly fun to create. I was excited to learn that after tearing paper...Puffy Velvet Markers glide over the tear and when heated makes fantastic snow. SO much smiler than using Liquid Applique. I LOVE this snowflake in the set as well and the dual font sentiments. (I used Prism Papers for all my cardstock in my Papertrey projects, as usual)
I wanted to play with different colors for this card... something that would be unexpected. the stripped ribbon provided this color pallet for me and It really rich in person. not sure I captured a great pic of it. I had so many more things in the works by my Mojo decided to go on vacation again... doesn't it know that vacation season is over? Sheesh *wink*!

It's been 15 years since this day. He had swept me off my feet and I fell deeply in love with my best friend... the resulting day was the best of my life!
Chris and I met at the beginning of his summer break from BYU and were married by the time school started up again. I had tried to break things off a few weeks after we met because I knew he was going back to school and I could feel myself falling hard...there was NO WAY I was going to fall hard then say goodbye. He replied to me "you can't break up with me, I love you!" a week later he asked me to marry him.I have felt sorry for him on many occasions as he has had to have patience with me...I can be quite the handful at times. Poor fella. like any marriage, our bed of roses has had it's share of thorns...but we have found our commitment to each other and our love of our Father in Heaven to be the balm that heals. Chris has given me 6 amazing gifts... Himself, my 4 daughters and me. Me? Well...without his support and belief in me I wouldn't be who I am today. He believes in me when I don't and it makes all the difference.
Thanks Chris for your commitment to me. I love you for eternity.
I TOTALLY forgot to share with you one of my cards from this special issue of Papercrafts mag... Card Creations. This issue has been my nemisis...felt so good to get not one but 3 into this issue...miracle I tell ya! I have to say my favorite card that I made was this one...
I was able to use that fun Precious Metals Brass paper and MSE images.... Ahhhh...look at all that We R lovin'! Make sure you check out this issue (full of fantastic cards from SO many names you know and even some new ones!)... you can buy it online here. I also have a Papertrey card that was published in this issue...my first Papertrey item pubbed too!

Bitter sweet days that they were... Tuesday my sweet girls went back to school... and Ella started Pre-school yesterday. I feel like I accomplished a HUGE thing this week making sure everything was done. Here are my girls on the first day! {weird for me not having the same backdrop as last year up in Bellingham though}
you can tell that the only one excited about Mom's "tradition" was Ella.....LOL!
The older girls only let me snap this one pic... what's up with that? don't they know we need to make fun mini books and scrap pages...didn't they get that memo? Bahahaaa! Must be a teenage thing. "just drop me off here Mom...no...yu can't come in and take pictures of me in my new school *eyes rolling"...you're a geek Mom!" I was giggling so hard. Here are Pepper and Ella though... they still let Me do "my thing"!
See... Bittersweet! love having a little extra time... miss them terribly!
So now that that is underway... on to the creative stuff! I got my Papertrey stamps for Sept... I AM SO EXCITED! Nichole is designing things that just blow my mind... in art and concept. the usefulness of these sets will drop your jaw! I have already made several things...cant wait to share on the 15th!
I'm also working on a few cards for Marvy for a Billboard. OK... yes, I am a little freaked out about a card of mine being on a billboard...especially for the Macy's day parade! Having been to New York...I "get" the Hugeness of these things...brings a new meaning to enormous! Hoping I can create up to the task... feeling the pressure on this one for sure. The one thing I do love is a challenge...Marvy has given me specific products they want used... it makes it SO fun ...like a giant puzzle to find ways to make that happen. I am using Just Glitter, Puffy Velvet Markers, Le Pen, Memory Markers and a punch. I will share as soon as I can.
