What a bargain this issue is! Its so cool to see the smart things that stampers come up with. There are SO many hot stampers in this issue that you will recognize. several gal pals grace the pages and a big congrats to Sande for her fun card on the cover! Make sure to head over to Paper Crafts and pick up a copy of this special issue!
Here's a fun card I created for this issue! This was a bit of a collaborative card with the editors at PaperCrafts.
This is one of those cards that you can just give to someone on one of those days...ya know...when things aren't quite right for someone. My initial submission was this heart shape card with a really touching saying in the center of the flower. The editors saw something in the card I had not...so a change was requested. Its interesting to change something around...it gives you a totally different take on a design and some insight as to the editorial needs of a magazine. they saw a box of chocolates and requested me to incorporate the saying "Life is like a box of chocolates...you never know what you're going to get." now...being that it's a "Stamp It!" issue I couldnn't just print the sentiment...let me tell ya...stamping out a quote that is that long takes some patients! See the issue for a full list of supplies and instructions!
Personal note... I spent the day yesterday house hunting. Chris was in a 3 hr long final interview with the potential new employer so I took the opportunity to meet with a Realtor and get a feel of the area. The more I spent time is this little town, the more I fell in love! The cost of living is a little higher than we had thought so finding a home in our price range might be tougher than we anticipated. We won't know anything until next week so I'm not fretting to much. Chris can commute for a while too...it's only an hour from here....not that we would want him to do that for too long. This all might be rambling since he hasn't gotten an offer yet. I guess I just like to get prepared...just in case. Thanks to all those who left well wishes...crossing all my fingers and toes that all works out how it's supposed to! We would miss Bellingham thats for sure!
