This pic was taken when I was hiking in the North Cascades last summer. The kids had moved forward with Chris as I went back for one of their sweatshirts that they dropped. I LOVED having 20 minutes to myself as I sauntered back down the trail. I would just stop every few minutes just to take both mental and real pics of the surroundings. I love the peacefulness, yet majesty of the mountains.
Now I have some wonderful memories and pics of that day and when life gets hectic I use them as so called palette cleansers.... then I see things a bit clearer....feel less stressed... and know that its the simple pleasures like hiking with my family that make being .... just being such a privilege.
